The residential rental process is broken. If you have ever looked for an apartment, it isn’t very difficult to see why. Real estate is one of the last paper-bound industries, and when every property has a different leasing process, the ordeal can be inefficient and time-consuming. At Rentobo, we are on a mission to change the way landlords ‘find and sign’ new tenants. Here are some ways in which we plan to do that.
Promotion Made Easy
Rentobo allows landlords and real estate professionals to promote their rental listings using our tool, for free. Once you have created a listing, you can promote to craigslist hassle-free by using our Google Chrome extension. In addition to craiglist, our listing syndication feature supports a number of rental search platforms, including Trulia, Zillow and Lovely. When prospective tenants show up to view your unit, you can use Rentobo to print out tenant handouts that will direct prospects to the appropriate place to apply.
Online Rental Applications
Online rental applications offer more convenience for most prospective tenants. When a tenant views your listing, they can apply online immediately. As a landlord, you will receive an email notification as soon as the application has been completed, and you can check progress on an ongoing application using our management dashboard. Once the application is complete, you can sign on immediately to view the submission and continue the leasing process.
Credit Screening
Many landlords ask themselves, “how do I screen a tenant?” and are perplexed by the hassles involved such as picking a provider (or three!), obtaining a site inspection, and performing proper recordkeeping and compliance activities.
Rentobo will handle that for you - when a prospective tenant applies to your property, Rentobo will collect their personal information and automatically generate a credit, eviction and criminal history report through our partnership with TransUnion.
As a landlord you receive a complete screening report (including credit score) without ever needing to ask for the applicants SSN. So you can rest easy knowing you’re 100% secure and 100% compliant.
For the novice landlord, we provide a simple credit recommendation (yes/no/maybe) based on an advanced risk model and the details of your property.
If you own or manage a rental property, sign up to participate in our online tenant screening beta.
