Last month, as part of our ‘Make Your New Year’s Resolution Stick’ sweepstakes, we asked you to let us know your New Year’s resolutions. Among the thousands of pledges of weight loss and smoking cessation, which are laudable goals, there was one resolution that really stood out.
Kathleen P. resolved to “finish the book that I’ve been researching & writing for the past five years! It’s a biography of a child prodigy poet of the 1920’s entitled ‘Searching for Nathalia.’” Well, Kathleen, whew! Five years is a long time. Good luck in 2010 - we’ll send you $100 to buy some coffee for all of your research and editing!
While Kathleen’s resolution was notable for her dedication, something else caught our eye, too. In fact, thousands of resolutions truly hit home with us. There are so many of you who are looking to make positive financial changes in your life - be it saving money, paying off debt or merely making ends meet.
In the simple words of Jean H., she is resolving to “pay my bills on time.” Simple words, but, in this economy, they may not be so easy to implement.
Paying bills on time is something we know a lot about - in fact, it’s our business. We also know how much paying your bills on time can pay you back by helping you build a positive credit file and score.
So, we just want to take a minute to encourage all of you who aim for more financial stability to continue your efforts. Check out our Credit 101 section of our website and our blogs on credit and consider how our Rent Pay and Bill Verification services can turbo-charge your credit file. There are still eleven months left in the year - start making your payments count.
So, Kathleen and Jean - check your email for a note from us. Thanks to all of you who shared your resolution with us. Good luck in all your endeavors!
By the way, our January Grand Prize winners will be notified shortly so make sure that you check your email. You could be one of three winners of $1,000! Our February sweepstakes, Show Some Love, Get Some Green, is in full-swing, too.
