We were sitting around WilliamPaid the other day, talking about some of our favorite roommates (OK, and not-so-favorite roommates, which seem to make for even more interesting stories). One of our staffers mentioned his favorite roommate, Sasha. Sasha was a 85-pound Siberian Husky that Jeff had in college. According to Jeff, having a dog for a roommate is one of the best things a single guy can do.
It seems that having a four-legged roommate has many advantages over an upright, two-legged model. Consider these:
- Dogs don’t take up precious time in the bathroom.
- Dogs are never late with the rent (OK, they don’t pay rent, but at least you don’t have to “hound” them for it.)
- Dogs provide companionship without the typical roommate arguments.
- Dogs can improve your social life - who doesn’t love a puppy?
- Dogs can’t steal your girlfriend.
- Dogs are like a 24-hour security system - for free.
So, if you are looking for a little love and maybe a “leg up” with the ladies, consider adopting a dog - there are plenty that need a home. (Of course, don’t go into this situation lightly - consider all the aspects of pet ownership.) Let us know your favorite four-legged roommate stories - we love our furry friends.
